Will this fit my existing kitchen cabinets?
Most likely. Our hoods are designed to fit standard cabinet widths. If your stovetop and cabinet width is 30 inches, choose our 30 inch Range Hood. For larger ranges, the 36 inch Range Hood provides wider coverage for professional-style cooking.
Does it support both Top and Rear venting?
Yes, versatility is key for under-cabinet models. Most Brano under-cabinet hoods feature multiple venting options: a round top vent, a rectangular top vent, and a rectangular rear vent. This ensures it connects easily to your existing ductwork, whether it goes through the ceiling or directly through the wall.
I don't have a duct. Can I use this hood?
Not all models support ductless operation. For kitchens without external venting, please choose our compatible models: the T05 Series or the T06 Series. These specific units are designed to work with carbon filters (sold separately) to purify and recirculate air back into your kitchen.
Is it hardwired or does it come with a plug?
Brano under-cabinet hoods come pre-installed with a standard 3-prong plug for easy "plug-and-play" installation. However, if your kitchen setup requires it, the plug can be cut and the unit can be hardwired by a professional electrician.
How slim are these hoods? Will they stick out?
Our under-cabinet series is designed with a Slim Profile to save vertical space, leaving you more room for cooking. Despite the compact height, they pack powerful motors comparable to larger professional units.
Do you have colors other than Stainless Steel?
Yes. While classic Stainless Steel is popular, we also offer the Black Range Hood series. The matte black finish is perfect for modern kitchens and resists fingerprints better than standard steel.
How high above the stove should I mount it?
Since these mount directly to your upper cabinets, the height is determined by your cabinet position. Ideally, the bottom of the hood should be 24 to 30 inches above the cooktop for the best balance of suction power and headroom.
Is the suction strong enough for heavy cooking?
Definitely. Don't let the slim size fool you. Brano under-cabinet hoods are equipped with high-performance motors (select models feature dual motors) capable of handling heavy smoke, steam, and odors from high-heat cooking.
How do I clean the Baffle Filters?
Cleaning is simple. The stainless steel baffle filters are designed to trap grease efficiently and are dishwasher safe. Just pop them in your dishwasher periodically to keep your airflow optimized.
